Darlene Dorney started out her career working for Goldman, Sachs & Company.  She grew up in NYC and moved to Staten Island and ultimately wound up in Rockland County.  She wanted her children to grow up in Rockland County given its Schools, Parks and Recreation. This was a good decision for her children William James and Shannon Marie went to the Nanuet School District.  William’s Eagle Project was renovating the Nanuet Little Red School House.  He graduated and went on to become an Electrical Engineer graduating from RIT and is now working for the Department of Defense. Shannon graduated from Nanuet School District as well, proceeded to go to SUNY Geneseo as a Math Major and is now living in Toronto as Standard and Poor’s Corporate Trainer.

Darlene, who is a Senior Real Estate Specialist has been advocating for more Senior Housing in Rockland County. She is a member of the Rockland County Village Community.  Previously, an AARP of Rockland Board of Trustees Member.  In addition, she become CAPS Certified, Certified Aging In Place.  Besides Real Estate, Darlene has spent many years helping seniors part with their personal belongings by assisting with Estate and Tag Sales.

Darlene’s career includes being a Salesperson for both Local and National Builders including:

Ginsberg, Beazer Homes and Orleans Homebuilders as well selling First Time Homebuyer style homes through 55 Active Adult and Senior Homes.

Better Homes and Gardens Rand has always been her Preferred Broker.  She feels strongly that she is in good hands given the amount of real estate mentoring she receives and the best marketing tools provided for both her buyers and sellers.

Besides Better Homes and Gardens training as in Joseph Rand, she has been trained by the National Trainers known as Myers Barnes, Les Newlands, Randy Tasch and Keeping Current Matters.

She covers Rockland, Westchester, and Orange Counties.

Darlene feels it is a privilege and an honor when a client chooses her to be their representative.

When people think of a “house” they think of siding, nails, roof, walkways, colonials, cape cods etc.

However, when people are selling their “home” this is an "emotional" situation for many memories have been made along the way and chances are they are selling one of the largest "investments they have made".  When someone is buying their home they are hopeful for making new memories and are equally concerned about the "financial decision" they are about to make as well.

This is why Darlene takes her career so very seriously.
